LAHORE: World Bank Mission led by Vincent Paul Med called on Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, here today. Institutional reforms, expediting the pace of social development, increasing resources and improvement of governance were discussed during the meeting. Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister said that institutional reforms are necessary for the provision of speedy facilities to the people. He said that Punjab government is introducing basic reforms in education, health, skill development, urban development and other sectors. He said that 60 percent population of Pakistan comprises youth and Punjab government has taken revolutionary steps for their empowerment. Shahbaz Sharif said that thousands of youth have been made skillful through skill development program. He said that there is vast scope of development in industry, agriculture and livestock sectors. The Chief Minister said that land record management information system is being successfully implemented with the cooperation of World Bank. He welcomed the cooperation of World Bank for the improvement of different sectors. Provincial Minster for Finance Mujtaba Shuja ur Rehman, Advisor Ijaz Nabi, Chief Secretary, Member Provincial Assembly Dr. Ayesha Ghaus Pasha, Senior Member Board of Revenue, concerned authorities and other officials of World Bank Mission were also present on the occasion.
