KARACHI: Pakistan Customs Directorate of Reforms and Automation is going to develop Web-based One Customs (WeBOC) Application for Android phones aimed at maintain transparency and facilitation for importers and exporters, it is learnt.
It is recalled here that the WeBOC-App for iPhones had already been developed and went through the testing process. However, it would be made fully operational very shortly.
And after iPhones, sources told Customs Today that a separate WeBOC-App for the Androids was being developed and it would be launched very shortly.
In the Androids, the importer and exporters will be provided with specific IDs and passwords and the application will be available on free of cost download on App Store, sources added.
The App will have list of traders, status for goods declaration (GDs), VIR status and search through BL. It will have updates of GD status, shipments and clearance procedures.
This application also provides the user the provision to send e-mail to support section of WeBOC on [email protected]. The messages sent by system or by Customs are displayed on screen in Inbox.
