DOHA: Wartsila and Nakilat-Keppel Offshore & Marine (N-KOM) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) agreeing to work together to improve business opportunities in repair and maintenance services, for marine and offshore vessels as well as onshore structures in Qatar.
Wartsila is a major player in complete lifecycle power solutions for the marine and energy markets, while Nakilat-Keppel Offshore & Marine (N-KOM) is one of Middle East’s leading shipyards, offering services solutions for the marine and oil and gas industries.
The MoU was signed by Chandru Rajwani, Chief Executive Officer of N-KOM, and Seppo Hautajoki, Managing Director of Wartsila Doha LLC and Wartsila Gulf FZE (Dubai).

Having Wartsila operate within our premises, offering in-demand marine services, such as main engine piston crown reconditioning and chrome plating, allows us to better respond to the needs of our customers as we strive towards becoming the preferred shipyard delivering solutions,” said Chandru Rajwani.
