AMARILLO: The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) conducted a traffic stop on IH-40, yielding over 14 pounds of marijuana valued at over $87,000.
A DPS trooper conducted a traffic stop on a 2013 Chevrolet Equinox traveling eastbound on IH-40, for a traffic violation, near Amarillo in Potter County.
The driver of the Equinox was identified as Alan Charles Bauman, 44, of Kill Devil Hills, N.C. During the traffic stop, the trooper discovered 11 vacuum-sealed bundles of marijuana in a suitcase.
Bauman was placed under arrest for possession of marijuana over five pounds but less than fifty, a third-degree felony, and booked into the Potter County Jail.
