KARACHI: The US dollar strengthened against Pakistani rupee in inter-bank and open market on Thursday.
As per details, Pakistani rupee weakened 15 paisas to reach 102.15 in open market and 10 paisas to reach 101.8 in inter-bank against US dollar.
On Wednesday, the US dollar weakened 10 paisa in inter-bank and open market to reach 101.7 and 102, respectively against rupee
Financial Analysts were of the view that political standoff in the capital has caused some fears among the investors while flood related apprehensions caused lacklustre activity at the market, as investors remained cautious to participate actively anticipating gloomy consequences of flood.
Meanwhile, JI chief Sirajul Haq, who is head of the Opposition’s political Jirga, said that negotiations with the protesting parties were heading towards a positive results. “The responsibility lies more with the federal government,” he said.
