US Customs seizes drugs worth $128K

SANTA TERESA: The US Customs has seized marijuana worth $128,000 and arrested two men in a raid by US Customs and Border Protection officers at the Santa Teresa port of entry.

Customs intercepted two men, Armando Yanez Balbuena, 36, and Noel Oguer Aguirre Garcia, 40, who were entered the port from Mexico. Customs officers were screening vehicles when they noticed the Balbuena was nervous during an interview. Officers scanned the roof of the vehicle with a “Buster” density meter and received high readings consistent with contraband.

Customs officers seized 141 marijuana filled bundles weighing more than 161 pounds from hidden compartments. Customs arrested Balbuena and Garcia and move them to the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Homeland Security Investigations special agents to investigate charges.
