TOKYO: The US and Chinese factory output ahead of a key federal reserve policy meeting ended a five-day winning streak of Tokyo stock which closed 0.23 percent lower on Tuesday.
At the Tokyo Stock Exchange, the Nikkei 225- index lowered down 36.76 points at 15,911.53, while the Topix index of all first-section shares fell 0.22 per cent. On Friday, the Nikkei 225- index had hit a fresh eight-month high. According to Okasan Online Securities, the Nikkei was “top heavy” but hinted that the headline index had still the capacity to breach the 16,000 level.
