US Border Patrol to host media day for virtual training simulator

TUCSON: The Tucson Sector Border Patrol will host a media day Jan. 12, 2016, at Sector Headquarters on South Swan Road to demonstrate our new “VirTra” virtual training simulator.
Space is limited to six media outlets. RSVPs are on a first-come, first-serve basis and are required to participate. Please respond no later than noon, Jan. 8, by emailing [email protected] Media Day
When: Tuesday, Jan. 12, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Additional information will be sent to media representatives that RSVP.
The VirTra 5-screen, immersive-training simulator allows operators to turn real world incidents into virtual scenarios for both lethal and less-lethal use of force encounters. It also lets users experience first-hand the decision making process each scenario demands.
