DUBAI: United Arab Emirates signed an agreement with Morocco in Casablanca for providing mutual administrative assistance in customs matters.
The new agreement aims at facilitating trade between the two countries and promoting cooperation between their respective customs services, the central administration of Morocco’s customs said in a statement sent to MAP on Thursday.
The agreement was inked within the framework of the strategic partnership between Morocco and the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), the same source said.
The agreement was signed during a ceremony in the Royal Palace in Casablanca under the chairmanship of King Mohammed VI and Abu Dhabi’s Crown Prince and supreme commander of the UAE’s armed forces, Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyane.
Morocco had already signed similar agreements with Kuwait, Qatar and Saudi Arabia.
