HAMBURG: Tunisia’s state grains agency purchased some 92,000 tons of milling wheat and around 50,000 tons of feed barley all to be sourced from optional origins in a tender which closed on Friday, European traders said.
The wheat has been sought for shipment between April 15 and May 25, depending on origin and the barley for between March 25 and April 25 also depending on origin, they said.
The wheat was bought in three consignments of 25,000 tons and one of 17,000 tons at $181.44 a ton c&f, $181.61 a ton c&f, $181.69 a ton c&f and $184.69 a ton c&f, traders said. Sellers were Casillo Commodities, ADM and Dreyfus, they said. The barley was all bought from ADM in two 25,000 ton consignments at $176.11 a ton c&f and $177.71 a ton c&f, they said.
In its last reported tender on Jan. 13, Tunisia’s grains agency purchased around 92,000 tons of soft wheat, 109,000 tons of durum and 50,000 tons of feed barley all to be sourced from optional origins.
