ISLAMABAD: The government has suggested the traders not to stress upon the removal of SRO-608 and asked them for proposals. “It is offered by the government that the proposals given by the traders will be the part of SRO. On the other hand, government is trying to break the unity between the traders and chambers. A meeting between Hamza Shahbaz and Rawalpindi Chambers President Asad Mashad was arranged by the Member National Assembly PML (N) Pervaiz Malik. Mashadi after meeting has prepared documents to persuade traders. We have made it clear to the government that the chamber president cannot stop us to go on strike. We want the removal of SRO-608 until December 31. No other option is acceptable for us,” a trader told Customs Today.
