While addressing to the protestors in front of Punjab Assembly hall chairman All Pakistan Anjuman-e-Tajran Attiq Meer said that they are not ready to accept any sort of tax on banking transactions. Imposition of WHT is cruel act of the government which is totally unacceptable for all traders of the country he added.

Government imposed withholding tax of 0.3 percent on banking transactions which traders are not ready to pay at any cost. Traders have observed many strikes in the country as well.
