ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) have divided the capital into three zones and constituted 10 teams to retrieve occupied land and remove encroachment.
According to the CDA, the directorate is supposed to enforce and establish writ of law in its respective area. It said that numerous complaints are being received regarding illegal encroachment in different areas. On November 28, the enforcement directorate issued a notification under which 10 teams have been set up to carryout anti-encroachment operations in the city.
Three vigilance teams have also been constituted for the zones. The notification said that all types of complaint and reports of respective areas should be properly routed through concerned assistant directors and deputy directors.
Furthermore, on the directions of CDA Chairman Maroof Afzal, enforcement directorate of the authority continued its operation against encroachment and illegal constructions in the federal capital. The enforcement directorate with the assistance of Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration carried out an anti-encroachment operation in the area of Faizabad and vacated plot number 1028, 1029 and 1030, which were illegally encroached by Faisal Movers, a bus service. The vacated land was handed over to environment wing so that barbed wire could be erected around these plots.
