ISLAMABAD: The tenth session of Pakistan-Afghanistan Joint Economic Commission (JEC) is going to hold on August 24 here in Islamabad wherein different suggestion to be considered to raise the bilateral trade volume.
In this session, high officials of both countries from trade, commerce and revenue departments will participate. However, Federal Board of Revenue Chairman Tariq Bajwa has also been invited to attend the session.
The officials from Pakistan’s side would also raise the issues of smuggling of different items into Pakistan through misuse of the Afghan Transit Trade.
They will also suggest the counterparts to make scrutiny tighten on the import of items which are not utilised in the Afghanistan as these are being smuggled in Pakistan causing loss to exchequer.
