ISLAMABAD: The Directorate General of Customs Intelligence and
Investigation Rawlalpindi has decided to get details via letter from the
Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan(SECP) about TCS company’s
registration and its directors involved in the smuggling case.
A letter will be written to the SECP Director Enforcement while Customs
Intelligence and Investigation has obtained details from SECP about the
other company Smart Zone about its registration and directors. According
to the information obtained, the Smart Zone has two directors namely
Latif and Asghar Khan. Ahmad Latif is elder brother of Smart Zone CEO
Shakir Ullah.
Customs Intelligence and Investigation is carrying raids for the arrest
of Shakir Ullah. However, it is learnt that Shakir Ullah has got
protective bail from the court. The information about Shakir’s bail has
not been conveyed to the Customs Intelligence and Investigation till
yet. The Customs Intelligence and Investigation said that they had got
information about protective bail of Ghazanfar Gull.
The sources in the Customs Intelligence and Investigation said that
raids for the arrest of Shakir Ullah would continue and if he produces
documents of protective bail, he would not be arrested. On the other
hand, TCS ex-CEO Saqib Hamdani and others who have been sidelined due to
smuggling case said that they had tendered resignations on their own and
they had not been fired from the company.
