KARACHI: The spot rate of cotton has further decreased by Rs50 to Rs5,050 as in the current session, around 22,000 cotton bales were sold at Rs4,900 to Rs5,250.
Experts say that even Trading Corporation of Pakistan (TCP) cannot bring down the rates due to strong supply of cotton seed as cotton seed rates in Sindh are firm at Rs2,000 to Rs2,500 and in Punjab, their price is unchanged at Rs2,400 to Rs2,650.
