ISLAMABAD: The Special Court of Anti-Narcotics sentenced drug smuggler named Shah Iran to 2 years and 8 months of imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs 17,000.
According to details, ANF team has arrested Shah Iran and recovered 2 kilograms of high quality of heroin from his possession at Benazir International Airport (BBIAP) Islamabad during searching of bagages.
During the investigations, proofs and witnesses were enough to prove his crime before the court. After the trial, the special Judge Chudary Anwar Ahmed Khan sentenced Shah Iran to 2 years and 8 months imprisonment and also imposed a fine of Rs 17,000 on him. In case of failure in payment of fine, he may face 6 months more in jail imprisonment as well.
The ANF presented a complete Challan before the Court after the recovery of 2 kilograms of heroin from their possession. While on the other hand, ANF has deported Nigerian resident smuggler named Uchne Mobaogo who has completed his sentenced of 1 year jail.
Sources added that the accused Uchne Mobaogo was arrested by the ANF from BBIAP Islamabad on 2, February 2014 and the court has sentenced him of 1 year jail and Rs10,000 of fine.
