MADRID: The Spain rose by just 0.08% during April to 740,819 Spanish household debt increases slightlymillion euros, a figure which is 3.6% higher than a year ago, according to the latest figures published on Monday by the Banco de España.
Despite the latest increase in the total, though, the household debt is still hovering around the level which was last recorded in September 2006, before the onset of the economic crisis. Since then, of course, the general level of prosperity in Spain has fallen, and households have generally been less able to take on personal loans.
