MADRID: Provisional data released on Thursday by Spain’s central statistical institute (INE) showed that the Spanish economy remains on the road to recovery, with growth of 1% in Gross Domestic Product (GDP) when Spanish economy remains on the road to recoverycompared to the previous quarter.
Growth of 0.9% was recorded during the first quarter of 2015. The latest figures show an increase of 3.1% during the second quarter of 2015 when compared with data from the same period in 2014. The provisional data released does not include a detaile breakdown of performance by sector.
The INE also indicated that preliminary indicators show no increase in the rate of inflation during July when compared with July 2015, due principally to decreases in the price of fuel.
