LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif that a project to generate 900 megawatt electricity had been planned in Quaid-i-Azam Solar Park Bahawalpur with the cooperation of China, he said, adding that sincere efforts were being carried out to overcome shortage of energy.
Chairman of a renowned Chinese company in energy sector, Zhang Xin, called on Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif here on Monday. Energy projects especially solar power projects were discussed in the meeting.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief minister said the Punjab government had completed the first and the biggest solar power station of the country and it was a unique project of generation of electricity through solar energy. He said that the Punjab government had executed this project with its own resources.
