LAHORE: The Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) Punjab on Friday approved six development schemes of various development Sectors with an estimated cost of almost Rs1.2 billion.
These schemes were approved in the 45th meeting of PDWP of current fiscal year presided over by the Punjab Chairman P&D Board Muhammad Irfan Elahi.
The approved development schemes included: Third Party Evaluation of Literacy Projects (PC-II) at the cost of Rs18.386 million, Hiring of Consultant firm for Survery/ Estimation for Reconstruction of Dangerous Buildings of schools in Punjab (PC-II) at the cost of Rs31.584 million, Security Measures of Nishtar Park Sports Complex Lahore at the cost of Rs232.104 million.
Registration of Geographical Indications (4th Revision) at the cost of Rs78.923 million, Urban Sewerage Scheme for PP-33 (Islam pura, Zafar Colony, Qartaba Town, Jauhar Colony, Sultan Town, Shirazi Park, Mujahid Colony, Ali Town, Gillwala, i/c Adjacent Colonies) & Abadies of PP-34 (Yousaf Park, Aziz Colony, Bashir Colony, Nawab Colony, Chak No.43-NB Jinnah Colony.
New Satellite Town W,X,&Y Blocks of Sargodha City at the cost of Rs389.887 million and Purchase of land for establishment of 2X55 MW coal fired power plants at M-3 Industrial City Faisalabad at the cost of Rs 450.000 million.
Provincial Secretary P&D Waseem Ajmal Chaudhary, Members of the Planning & Development Board, Provincial Secretary concerned and other senior representatives of the relevant Provincial Departments also attended the meeting.
