LAHORE: Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that prolonged sit-ins in the federal capital by some unwise people are causing delay in $34 billion investment in Pakistan.
He was addressing the signing ceremony of MoUs between Punjab government and Yantie, industrial city of Chinese province Shandong.
The chief minister said that the sit-ins had caused massive loss to the national economy and the next generations would not be able to make up for losses. He appealed to the nation not to forgive these people who were committing enmity against the country’s economy.
Shahbaz Sharif said that the pact signed between the Punjab government and industrial city of Yantie would promote trade and cultural activities in the province. He termed the Sino-Pak friendship a trustworthy relation and said that trade, cultural and historic contacts would further strengthen due to declaring of Lahore and Yantie twin city. He said that Industrial estates and parks would be constructed in Punjab under the MoUs signed between Yantie Chamber of Commerce & Industry and Punjab Industrial Estate Development & Management Company (PIEDMC).
