KARACHI: Chairman of National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Commerce, Siraj Mohammad Khan has assured the Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) that members of NA Standing Committee on Commerce will raise their voice on behalf of KCCI at the floor of National Assembly so that the federal government could start paying heed to requests, issues and recommendations being forwarded by Karachi Chamber.
Speaking at a meeting during his visit to the KCCI on Friday along with numerous members of NA Standing Committee on Commerce, Siraj Khan advised KCCI Office Bearers to forward a copy of all their communications being sent to various authorities in Islamabad so that they could also look into these issues, requests and recommendations being forwarded by KCCI and raise voice in front of concerned authorities and Ministers in Islamabad.
MNA Siraj Mohammad Khan was accompanied by MNA Muhammad Pervaiz Malik, MNA Mian Muhammad Rasheed, MNA Choudhry Asad-ur-Rehman, MNA Tahira Aurangzeb, MNA Zeb Jaffar, MNA Nazir Ahmed Bughio, MNA Mussarat Ahmad Zeb, MNA Sajida Begum, and MNA Makhdoom Syed Ali Hassan Gillani at the meeting which was presided over by President KCCI Iftikhar Ahmed Vohra while Senior Vice President KCCI Muhammad Ibrahim Kasumbi, Vice President KCCI Agha Shahab Ahmed Khan, Former Presidents KCCI AQ Khalil and Majyd Aziz along with KCCI Managing Committee members were also present on the occasion.
Siraj Khan, while highlighting the significance of Karachi, stated that Karachi city acts as ‘Mother of the Poor’ and is undoubtedly ‘Mini Pakistan’, catering to the needs of the entire country. “We are fully aware of the Karachi city’s significance and it will not be underestimated.”
