SINGAPUR: Singapore is planning a 3D map for the entire country which is complete in 2017, detailed map of Singapore will show virtual 3D replicas of trees, roads, car park lots, buildings and all other above the ground structures witch cost of $73 million.
Prime Minister of Singapore Lee Hsien Loong said that virtual Singapore as part of his 10 year goal of making Singapore a smart nation. This map is going to help the government in tackling major problems such as crowd control, flooding and noise levels. The map will not only show structures but will also give information about those structures.
The head of the new Smart Nation Programme Tan Kok Yam said that even for people who may not know anything about Virtual Singapore, we hope that this will be of great benefit to them be it in mobility, noise control or city live ability.
