SIALKOT: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Regional Tax Office (RTO) is creating awareness among taxpayers about the imposition of withholding taxes (WHT) on banking transactions through advertising.
The RTO is educating people that WHT is not imposed on the tax return filers while transacting amount through bank accounts.
It has displayed the messages on the flex boards to inform the people that tax filers would not pay any withholding tax and this imposition of withholding taxes are on the non-filers only. People should file their tax returns immediately in order to take exemption from withholding taxes on banking transactions of more than Rs 50,000.
The RTO is also advertising that paying taxes is the sole responsibility of the taxpayers in order to take facilities of taxpayers.
