SIALKOT: The special teams of the Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) have sent the special recovery notices to as many as 287 defaulters for the recovery of Rs500 million from them in shape of the professional taxes in Gujranwala Division, as the PRA has jazzed up the pace of its ongoing recovery campaign against the tax defaulters under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) Zaka Ullah here.
According to the details, Chairman Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) Dr. Rahil Ahmed Saddiquie has fixed a special recovery target of Rs2 billion for Gujranwala division by dividing this target into four quarters and setting Rs.500 million recovery target for each quarter (three months) from the local professional tax defaulters.
The senior PRA officials added here that the PRA has sent the special recovery notices to as many as 287 defaulters including the owners of the beauty parlours , catering services, travel agencies, hotels, restaurants, marriage halls, construction services, housing societies , car dealers , property dealers , advertisement companies, engineering services, consultancy services, fashion designers and the senior officials of the local District Councils, municipal corporations, municipal committees, highways, buildings and public health engineering departments in Gujranwala division’s all the six Sialkot, Narowal, Gujrat, Mandi Bahaud Din, Hafizabad and Gujranwala districts here for the recovery of the Rs500 million in shape of professional and services (16 percent) taxes from them during the first quarter of the running fiscal year 2017-2018.
