SIALKOT: The Customs Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) has seized foreign origin black tea worth Rs 50,000 during an operation.
Sources told Customs Today that Model Customs Collectorate Collector Ahmed Reza Khan received information regarding smuggling of black tea.
A raiding team comprising Deputy Superintendent Muhammad Erfan, Inspector Muhammad Manshah and others conducted a raid near GT Road, Sialkot and recovered black tea.
The raiding party asked the accused to produce legal documents regarding the import of tea, but the accused failed to produce the same. Upon the failure, the raiding party seized the tea and registered a case against the accused person. Further investigations are underway.
