KARACHI: The Sindh High Court (SHC) has sought comments from tax authorities and deputy attorney general on a petition filed by M/s Raab Package (Private ) Limited seeking restoration of its sales tax registration.
A two-member bench, comprising Justice Munib Akhter and Justice Abdul Malik Gaddi, heard the petition.
Earlier, the petitioner’s counsel stated that officials of the Commissioner IR issued a show-cause notice on 28th October 2016 and suspended the sales tax registration of the petitioner. Therefore, petitioner filed appeal before the chief commissioner – IR Regional Tax Office-II for restoration of its sales tax registration which is pending.
Citing chairman FBR, chief commissioner Inland Revenue, Regional Tax Office – II, commissioner Inland Revenue, Zone – IV, Regional Tax Office – II as respondents, the petitioner pleaded the SHC to direct the respondents to restore its the sales tax registration..
