KARACHI: The country’s total liquid foreign reserves have reached $20,709.3 million (over $20.7 billion) on the week ended December 11.
According to the central bank, the reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) stood at $15,719.3 million, while net foreign reserves held by other banks are $4,990.0 million. During the corresponding week, the SBP’s reserves increased by $278 million to $15,719 million (over $15.7 billion), compared to $15,441 million in the previous week. The increase in reserves is attributed to receipts of $300 million on account of long-term syndicated financing for GoP.
