KARACHI: The Pak Rupee appreciated by another three paisas against dollar in interbank foreign exchange market on Monday owing to inflows of foreign financial assistance.
The rupee ended Rs138.75 to the dollar from last Friday’s close of Rs138.78 in interbank foreign exchange market. Pakistan received $2 billion from Saudi Arabia and UAE under financial assistance to boost the foreign exchange reserves of the country.
The interbank foreign exchange market was initiated in the range of Rs138.80 and Rs138.85. The market recorded day high of Rs138.85 and low of Rs138.74 and closed at Rs138.75. In open market the exchange rate also eased. The buying and selling of dollar recorded at Rs138.50/Rs139.00 from last Saturday’s close of Rs138.60/Rs139.00.
