DOHA: Qatar Development Bank (QDB) is promoting eight local plastics and rubber product manufacturers at the ongoing K2016 exhibition, 19 – 26 October 2016, in Düsseldorf, Germany. Notably, this is the first time QDB’s export program, Tasdeer, will be partaking at K Trade, tipped as the “world’s No. 1 trade for plastics and rubber.” Local exhibitors are currently presenting their products at the nation’s specially-designated marquee, the Qatar Pavilion.
QDB’s Tasdeer program has contributed significantly to the development and promotion of Qatari exports in the global market through providing trade-related support for local businesses, such as the showcasing of local manufacturers at international exhibitions, bilateral trade cooperation programs and training workshops.
In the past, Tasdeer has hosted local companies, from across a number of industrial sectors, at international exhibitions, such as ‘INDEX’, an architectural and design exhibition, and ‘Big5’, a building and construction trade exhibition. Incidentally, K2016 coincides this year with SIAL Paris, an agri-food industry exhibition that is also presently seeing Tasdeer’s participation through the promotion of 14 leading Qatari food and beverage companies.
