DOHA: Qatar’s exports to Jordan increased during the past eight months of 2015, according to the Jordanian Department of Statistics data released.
The data say that Qatari exports to the kingdom over the past eight months amounted to $40 million, compared with $32.4m during the corresponding period of 2014..
Jordan’s exports to Qatar during the last eight months of 2015 recorded a rise of close to $1.4m in the same period last year.
Jordan’s total exports in the past eight months of this year amounted to $94.4m, compared to $93m during the corresponding period of 2014.
According to the data, the deficit in the trade balance for Jordan registered a decline during the first eight months of 2015 by 14.9 per cent over the same period of 2014, and amounted to $8.2 billion.
The total value of exports during the past eight months of 2015 amounted to $5.077bn, while the value of imports reached $13.4bn in the same period.
