ISLAMABAD: Chairman FBR Tariq Bajwa met with Chairman Pakistan Textile Exporters Association (PTEA) Mr Asghar Ali on Monday.
PTEA chief said that excessive burden of taxes and stuck up amounts in refund regimes has not only jeopardized growth of the textile industry and exports but put the survival of existing industry at stake. It should be the top priority of the government to restore the confidence of industrialists by making export-oriented policies, he added.
Later on, FBR Chairman Tariq Bajwa met with Omar Sheikh, Chairman and Managing Director of Shell Pakistan Limited.
Japanese Minister also visited FBR on Monday morning and held meetings with high officials.
