LAHORE: After huge cut in petrol price by Rs19 per litre and arrival of new seasonal crop, the prices of vegetables have reduced in wholesale markets, but the consumers are still deprived of this reduction due the retailers’ own rates at Sunday Bazaars.
Potato fresh price, after arrival of new crop, was reduced by Rs10 per kg, fixed at Rs25 to 30 per kg, potato stored fixed at Rs16 to 18 per kg. The price of onion was stable at Rs15 to 18 per kg, mixed sold at Rs18 to 20 per kg. The price of tomato was unchanged at Rs38 to 40 per kg. Garlic China price was fixed at Rs115 to 120 per kg, garlic local at Rs120 to 130 per kg, sold at Rs140 per kg. The price of Indian ginger was fixed at Rs92 to 96 per kg with a decline of Rs8 per kg, ginger Thailand stable at Rs150 to 155 per kg, while Indian was sold at Rs160 per kg. Brinjal price was fixed at Rs13 to 15 per kg, sold at Rs20 per kg. Cucumber farm was gained by Rs3 per kg, fixed at Rs45 to 52 per kg while sold at Rs60 per kg. Pea rate was reduced by Rs15 per kg, fixed at Rs70 to 80 per kg.
Capsicum price was gained by Rs10 per kg, fixed at Rs90 to 95 per kg, sold at Rs100 per kg. Prices of green chilli local was fixed at Rs65 to 72 per kg, green chilli farm price was fixed at Rs31 to 33 per kg, sold at Rs80 per kg. Zucchini price was fixed at Rs14 to 16 per kg, sold at Rs20 per kg. Spinach farm was fixed at Rs11 to 12 per kg, spinach local at Rs20 to 25 per kg, while farm was sold at Rs25 to 30 per kg. Bitter gourd was gained by Rs12 per kg, fixed at Rs65 to 68 per kg and sold at Rs70 to 80 per kg. Lemon Chinese was fixed at Rs50 to 56 per kg, sold at Rs60 per kg. Cabbage price was fixed at Rs25 to 29 per kg, sold at Rs30 per kg, and cauliflower was fixed at Rs20 to 22 per kg, sold at Rs25 per kg. Turnip was fixed at Rs20 to 25 per kg, sold at Rs30 per kg, carrot local at Rs35 per kg, sold at Rs40 per kg, radish fixed at Rs10 to 15 per kg, sold at Rs30 per kg, and methi was fixed at Rs30 to 35 per kg, sold at Rs40 per kg.
