WARSAW: In a vote early on Sunday, the lower house of the Polish parliament accepted the 2016 budget, which foresees a GDP growth of 3.8 percent this year.
According to the finance ministry, which drew up the budget, the deficit this year will not exceed PLN 54.7 (EUR 12.4, USD 13.4) billion, while inflation is predicted to stand at 1.7 percent. A total of 236 MPs voted in favour, with 207 voting against and three abstaining, following a debate late into the night.
