NEW DELHI: Police have booked three persons in two cases under various sections of the Excise and NDPS Act at the Dyalpura and Phul police stations for smuggling drugs and liquor.
Investigating officer (IO)-cum-complainant Surjit Singh at the Dyalpura police station said Sucha Singh and Sukhwinder Singh, both residents of Kothe Surjeetpura at Dyalpura, were found carrying 2 gram heroin and 100 gram intoxicating powder at Jalal.
They were brought to the police station where a case under Sections 21, 22, 61 and 85 of the NDPS Act has been registered against them.
In the second case, SI Kaur Singh at the Phul police station said a resident of Bhairupa, identified as Budhram, had been booked for possessing 60 bottles of country-made liquor (Khasa).
He was arrested from Bibi Paro Chowk at Phul. A case under Sections 61, 1 and 14 of the Excise Act has been registered in this regard at the Phul police station.
