WARSAW: Poland’s retail pharma market is expected to expand by 6.3% to PLN 30.3 billion in 2015, according to a new, higher forecast by market researcher PharmaExpert. The previous forecast had pointed to 5.4% growth.
Within retail sales, state-subsidized drug sales are expected to grow 6.7% to PLN 8.1 billion, PharmaExpert also said. April pharmaceuticals sales reached PLN 2.6 billion, up 10% year on year and up 0.6% month on month. Of the sum, subsidized drug sales grew 13.6% y/y to PLN 980 million.
