WARSAW: A Poland freight company PKP cargo said that firm transported 7.5 million tons of cargo, which translated into over 3 pps market share growth to 49.2%. In a statement PKP said that growth rose in the share of cargo transported in February to 49.2% from 45.9% in January.
“Recovery in coal transports and increase in the volume of transported aggregate contributed to PKP Cargo’s good results in February,” the statement reads. The entire market shrank by 1.4 million tons year on year in volume terms, but increased by 2.4% in distance-volume terms (to 3.6 billion ton-kilometers).
