WARSAW: Poland’s natural gas giant PGNiG is launching a program of rebates for natural gas for its strategic clients in order to reduce orders decline, PGNIG CEO Mariusz Zawisza said.
PGNiG is not afraid to compete for the market and considers market liberalization inevitable, hence it is necessary to take steps now, Zawisza said. The company is adapting its offer to market liberalization, Zawisza said reminding that the tariff price is the maximum price.
The scale of the rebate is to depend on the current prices on the energy stock exchange TGE and the volume of the purchased gas. The offer is to be launched on May 1 and is to be valid until the end of the year.
