WARSAW: Unemployment in Poland stood at 10.3 percent in February, the same as in January but 1.6 percentage points lower than in February last year, the Family¸ Labour and Social Policy Ministry said on Tuesday.
“The registered unemployment rate in February, as in January, was 10.3 percent. Unemployment in February last year was 1.6 percentage points higher than today, when it stood at 11.9 percent,” the ministry said in a statement.
Meanwhile, the number of jobs on offer from employers has shot up. “Compared to January, an increase of over 48 percent was recorded. That is an increase of almost 42,000 job offers. In February, the number of jobs offers increased by more than 33 percent compared to the same period last year,” the ministry added.
