PM allows trade with Afghanistan despite COVID-19 pandemic 

ISLAMABAD: In a surprise move, Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday allowed trade with Afghanistan despite coronavirus pandemic in the country.

In a tweet on Friday, the prime minister said he has given instructions to open the Chaman-Speen Boldak border and let the trucks crossover into Afghanistan. He further said that despite the global pandemic of COVID-19, Pakistan remains committed to supporting the Afghan brothers and sisters.

“Despite global pandemic of COVID 19, we remain committed to supporting our Afghan brothers & sisters. I have given instructions to open the Chaman-Spinboldak border & let trucks crossover into Afghanistan. In time of crisis, we remain steadfast with Afghanistan,” he said on Twitter.
