ISLAMABAD: Trainer plane of Rawalpindi Flying Club crashed at the height of 400ft at Benazir Bhutto International Airport Islamabad.
Rescue team shifted the injured to Benazir Bhutto Hospital immediately. Captain Hassam and two trainee pilots Hammad and Sarfaraz Ahmad injured in plane crash. The plane lost balance and could not hit the ground while landing. However it did not catch fire and crashed on the left side of the runway.
Airport Manager Ayaz Jadoon told that it was Sasna aircraft owned by Rawalpindi Flying Club and was on routine flight. “Fortunately, the aircraft didn’t catch fire due to which the three persons onboard were rescued safely,” he said.
He said the investigation team will investigate the matter. Three injured have been sent home after treatment.
