ISLAMABAD: Despite inclusion of 16 aircrafts in its fleet, the Pakistan International Airlines’ revenue decreased.
According to the sources, the overall performance of national flag carrier was not satisfactory as its revenue decreased continuously for the last seven years and its loss was increasing. The official documents reveal that the PIA generated the revenue of Rs94.56 billion in 2009, Rs107.53 billion in 2010, Rs116.55 billion in 2011, Rs112.13 billion in 2012, Rs95.77 in 2013, Rs99.52 in 2014 and Rs99.52 billion in the year 2015.
The PIA has failed to increase its revenue despite presence of thousands of its employees and employees have failed to reduce the loss.
