PIA & SIAL to ink accord to facilitate each other

SIALKOT: President  and CEO of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) Air Marshal (r) Arshad Malik has said that there was a visible betterment in the overall condition of PIA infrastructure within a stipulated period of last one year and everyday was bring further betterment and improvement in PIA.

He stated this while addressing a largely attended meeting of the Sialkot exporters held at Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) here after this noon.

CEO of PIA  after meeting this direly needed success, as many as two new air crafts have been inducted into the fleet of the PIA after a spam of five years, as these new air crafts will start flight operations from today (Tuesday). He said that there was no doubt to say that the national flag-carrier PIA was having the old air crafts which do not match the advanced air crafts of the other international airlines’ air crafts.

He said that with the prevailing great challenges , the all ut sincere efforts were being made to restore the PIA besides rehabilitating the glorious history of the PIA as well. He said that though the PIA had old air crafts , but the PIA has the world’s best cabin crew.

PIA’s CEP Air Marshal Arshad Malik  added that the process of PIA’s rehabilitation was successfully moving ahead, as all the decisions were being made in PIA purely on merit as well.

He said that all the national and international flights routs of PIA were being rationalised for bringing betterment in PIA, as the PIA was facing a great problem in shape of very low flow of cash.

He said that PIA will also start soon its direct international passenger flights between Sialkot-Pakistan and Madina-Saudia Arabia as well.

CEO of PIA revealed that national flag carrier PIA and Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) will sign an MoU within next two weeks for facilitating each other.

He said “we are not in position to make further experiments on PIA in its prevailing miserable and poor condition. However, we have to make further tough decisions purely on merit for making PIA a profitable organization”.

He said that there was a bid difference in the business module of the international airliners and PIA.

CEO of PIA  claimed that there was visible reduction in PIA’s monthly financial deficit , as the PIA has also almost half of its expenditures as well. This was a great success of PIA in its prevailing poor condition.

He showed keen interest in starting PIA’s direct international passenger and cargo flights to Frankfurt-Germany from Sialkot international airport for facilitating the Sialkot exporters to reach the Scandinavian countries including Norway, Sweeden throught Frankfurt-Germany as well.

Air Marshal (Rtd) Arshad Malik also asked the Sialkot exporters to show their loyalty and patriotism and fully support the national flag carrier PIA in its prevailing hard time , besides, being the part of PIA’s co-branding in advertisement in  export products as well.

He said that there was a much betterment in PIA’s poor  condition and every passing day was bring further betterment in it.

He said that there was a dire need of making tough and hard decisions purely on merit to save PIA and restore its glorious history , which was also the demand of the day.
