THE HAGUE: Philippines Bureau of Customs (BoC) has seized a parcel containing P1.515 million worth of “Ecstasy” pills from The Netherlands, which the bureau immediately turned over to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) here the other day.

In a statement, the BoC said the parcel containing 1,010 tables of methylenedioxy methamphetamine or MDMA, otherwise known as “Ecstasy,” was seized here the other day.

The parcel was mailed by one J. Vermolen from the Netherlands to a certain Martin Sean S. Duenas of Parañaque city, Deputy Commissioner Jessie Dellosa said here the other day.

“Illegal drug traders have attempted to use the postal service repeatedly to move various types of drugs, because of the anonymity and the perception of lower risk.

“We will continue to with PDEA and other law enforcement agencies to stop the entry of illegal drugs and other contraband goods,” the BoC official said.
