PESHAWAR: Custom Collectorate collected Rs1832.56 million in September 2018 surpassing the target of the previous September 2017 in which the Collectorate collected Rs1708.73 million with 8.03 percent difference.
According to the statistics in head of custom duties the Collectorate collected Rs755.85 million in September 2018 against Rs686.67 million of September 2017 having difference of Rs82.82 million while the difference in percentage was 12.35 percent.
Similarly the Collectorate under the head of sale tax on imports collected Rs381.12 million in September 2018 against Rs386.74 million of September 2017 having the difference of minus 5.632 percent while the difference in percentage minus 1.85 percent.
In head of sale tax levied as federal excise duty (FED) on palm oil the Collectorate collected Rs95.61 million in September 2018 against Rs164.73 in September 2017.
Likewise in term of sales tax on value addition on commercial importers the Collectorate collected Rs56.79 million in September 2017 against Rs54 million collected during September 2018. The difference in rupees was recorded 2.39 percent while the difference in percentage was recorded 4.39 percent.
In head of federal excise duty (FED) on import the Collectorate collected Rs7.02 million in September 2018 against Rs21.87 of September 2017. The difference in rupees was noticed minus 14.85 million while the difference in percentage was minus 67.90 percent.
Moreover in head of withholding tax the Collectorate collected Rs536.17 million in September 2018 against Rs394.32 million of September 2017. The difference in rupees was Rs141.85 million while the difference in percentage was 35.97 percent.
Collector Saeed Jadoon said that the overall performance of the Collectorate was satisfactory as compare to the previous September while the revenue generation improved to some extent as compare to the previous month.
