PESHAWAR: The Pesco line losses have increased by three per cent. It was disclosed at the 93rd meeting of the Pesco board of directors at the Wapda House, presided over by BoD chairman Malik Mohammad Asad Khan, according to a press release.
Other board members, including Pesco chief executive Syed Hassan Fazil, Khaqan Murtaza, joint secretary ministry water of power, and MD Pepco Musawar Ali Shah, Nasir Khan Musazai, and others, were in attendance.
The meeting vowed to bring down the line losses. It was decided that to ensure recovery of line losses and reduce line losses the Pesco would seek help of FIA, police and NAB.
The meeting approved purchase of 300 distribution transformers. The meeting also decided to ensure that loadshedding applied on all feeders equally.
Senior Pesco officers were asked to improve the power utility’s performance by preventing illegal use of electricity and initiating action against the power thieves.
The BoD meeting also warned of action if SDOs, Xens and SEs didn’t improve their performance. The officials were asked to pay field visits to resolve problems of customers and submit a report to the Pesco headquarters regularly.
