LEEDS, UK: A Pakistani air steward who was arrested after 2.5kg of heroin was found inside his luggage at the Leeds Bradford International Airport (LBIA), was charged and remanded into custody by a magistrates’ court.
Syed Shahrukh Shah, who arrived on a Pakistan International Airline (PIA) flight from Islamabad, was arrested by UK Border Force officials and was charged with attempting to smuggle class ‘A’ drugs.
Shah appeared at Leeds Magistrates’ Court on Thursday and has been remanded in custody until his next court appearance on December 5. He did not enter a plea.
