ISLAMABAD: Pakistan earned over $68 million from the export of mangoes during the last two years.
According to statistics of the Commerce Ministry available with Customs Today, Pakistani mango exports reached $37.765 million in 2013, showing an increase of around $7 million.
Similarly, in financial year 2012, $30.818 million worth mangoes was exported.
The MoC statistics revealed that the quantity of mangoes produced in the country during 2013-14 was 1,658,562 tonnes. Whereas the quantity of mangoes exported was 64,198.968 tonnes and 70,833.667 tonnes during the year 2012-13 and 2013-14 respectively.
