KARACHI: The Pakistani rupee on Friday continued to strengthen against the US currency in open market; however, it depreciated in interbank.
As per the local money market, the US dollar closed at Rs 123.75 for buying and Rs 124.30 for selling after losing 25 paisas in the open market. The greenback gained five paisas in interbank for buying at Rs 121.45 and for selling at Rs 121.65.
On Thursday, the greenback lost 20 paisas in open market for buying at Rs 124 and for selling at Rs 124.55, while it remained firm in interbank for buying at Rs 121.40 and for selling at Rs 121.60.
